herumjagen, I) v. tr.agitare (eig., z.B. feram: bildl., Menschen = beunruhigen, z.B. von den Furien). – huc illuc circumagere (bald da-, bald dorthin führen, Soldaten etc.). – II) v. intr.: a) als Jäger, in einem Orte: venando peragrare alqm locum. – b) als Reiter: equo citato circumvehi (im raschen Lauf bald hier-, bald dorthin reiten). – equum ab rapido cursu circumagere (das Pferd im raschen Lauf herumlenken). – in einem Orte h., equo citato vehi per etc. (z.B. per urbem).
