The Slavic noun is derived with <b class="b2">d-</b>suffix from a verb [[learn]], [[understand]], [[hear]], e.g. OCS <b class="b2">čujǫ</b>, [[čuti]] (with which also <b class="b3">κοέω</b>, s. v.); so [[čudo]], <b class="b3">κῦδος</b> prop.
