One has also suggested a special use of <b class="b3">μύωψ</b> 2 (Gil Fernandez, Nombres de insectos 81-4), which is again not quite convincing. On the formation Schwyzer 426 n.4; on <b class="b3">-ωψ</b> cf. <b class="b3">κώνωψ</b> and Sommer Nominalkomposita 9 n. 2.
