For <b class="b3">*πρώϜων</b> tells undoubtedly the hardly separable <b class="b3">πρῳ̃ρα</b> (Bechtel Lex., Risch $ 26 b, Specht Ursprung 344). -- To the group of <b class="b3">πρό</b>; connection with Skt. <b class="b2">pū́rva-</b> [[frontmost]], [[earlier]] seems possible; s. <b class="b3">πρῳ̃ρα</b>. Not with Bechtel to [[πρηνής]] (s.v.), not with Prellwitz to Skt. <b class="b2">pravaṇá-</b>'falling off, prepares, sloping' (s.
