Since F. Hartmann KZ 54, 287ff. usually explained as "the she-wolf" and identified with Skt. <b class="b2">vr̥kī́ḥ</b>, OWNo. [[ylgr]] <b class="b2">id.</b>; cf. Porzig Satzinhalte 349 f.
