[[κέκραγα]], [[κραγεῖν]] have a close cognate in [[κρώζω]] `[[croak]]; to this [[κραγεῖν]] could even be a regelar zero-grade aorist. [<b class="b3">κάραγος ὁ τραχὺς ψόφος</b>, <b class="b3">οἷον πριών</b> H. is not a regular disyllabic form beside <b class="b3">κραγ-</b>; s. s. v.] Cf.
