A temple, side of the forehead (in this sense not in pl., for wh. κρόταφοι is used, but cf. Ruf.Onom.13, Poll.2.40), ξίφει ἤλασε κόρσην Il.5.584, cf. 13.576; τόν ῥ' Ὀδυσεὺς . . βάλε κόρσην· ἡ δ' ἑτέροιο διὰ κροτάφοιο πέρησεν αἰχμή 4.502, cf. Call.Dian.78. 2 in Att., πατάξαι ἐπὶ κόρρης smack on the jaw, Pherecr. 155b (CAF iii p.716), D.21.147; ὅταν κονδύλοις, ὅταν ἐπὶ κόρρης [τύπτῃ], i.e. with the fist, or with the open hand, ib.72; ἐπὶ κόρρης τύπτειν Pl.Grg.486c, 508d, 527a; ῥαπίζειν ἐπὶ κ.
