The story of Damon (/ˈdeɪmən/; Greek: Δάμων, gen. Δάμωνος) and Pythias (/ˈpɪθiəs/; Πυθίας or Φιντίας; or Phintias, /ˈfɪntiəs/) is a legend in Greek historic writings illustrating the Pythagorean ideal of friendship.
