Ar. and P. βόρειος. V. βορραῖος, πρόσβορρος. Fem. adj., V. βορεάς (Aesch., Frag.). The northern parts: P. τὰ πρὸς βορρᾶν. The inhabitants of Thrace, Scythia and the northern latitudes generally: P. οἱ κατὰ Θράκην τε καὶ Σκυθικὴν καὶ σχεδόν τι κατὰ τὸν ἄνω τόπον (Plat., Rep. 435E).
