ὀφθαλμοὶ γὰρ τῶν ὤτων ἀκριβέστεροι μάρτυρες → the eyes are more accurate witnesses than the ears, the eyes are more exact witnesses than the ears
v. trans.
Make ashamed: P. and V. αἰδῶ παρέχειν (dat.).
Be abashed: P. and V. αἰσχύνεσθαι, ἐπαισχύνεσθαι. See ashamed.
