v. trans.
P. and V. ὑπερθεῖν, V. ὑπερτρέχειν, P. προτρέχειν (gen.). I felt my anger had outrun (itself): V. ἐμάνθανον τὸν θυμὸν ἐκδραμόντα μοι (Soph., O.C. 438). Get before: P. and V. φθάνειν, προλαμβάνειν, P. προκαταλαμβάνειν.
