[2] Ei, ovum. – Sprichw., er sieht ihm ähnlich, wie ein Ei dem andern, s. ähnlich: das Ei will klüger sein, als die Henne, sus Minervam, ut aiunt (ὑς τὴν Άϑηνᾶν, Cic. Ac. 1, 18): er geht wie auf Eiern, pedem summis digitis suspendit.
