   A give in adoption, ὑόν τινι Pl.Lg.878a ; τὸν παῖδα εἰς τὸν οῖκόν τινος D.43.15; τοὺς σφετέρους παῖδας εἰς ἑτέρους οἴκους εἰσποιοῦσιν Is.10.17 (but the same phrase is used of a father who begets, Id.6.22); εἰ. τινὰ εἰς τὰ χρήματά τινος make him heir to the property, Id.10.12, cf. 16,17, etc.; εἰ. σαυτὸν Ἄμμωνι, of Alexander, Plu. Alex. 50 : metaph.,[ἡπαντάρβη] πᾶν τὸ ἐγγὺς ἐσποιεῖ αὑτῇ attracts, Philostr.
