   A come habitually or in addition, πλεῦνος αἰεὶ γινομένου τοῦ ἐπιφοιτέοντος Hdt.1.97 ; οἱ ἐπιφοιτῶντές τε καὶ οἱ ἀρχὴν ἐλθόντες the subsequent arrivals, Id.9.28 ; ὁ ἐπιφοιτῶν κέραμος every new wine-jar imported, Id.3.6 ; ἐ. ἐς.. to go about to different places, Th.1.135 ; τὴν γῆν δῃοῦν ἐπιφοιτῶντες visiting, invading it, ib.81 ; τὰς πόλεις Jul.Or.7.221b : c. dat., τοῖς θεάτροις Ael.VH2.13.    2 c. dat. pers., σπάνιος ἐ. σφι visits them rarely, of the Phoenix, Hdt.2.73, cf.
