Ep. μετέειπον, aor. 2 of μεταφωνέω,

   A speak among, address, c. dat. pl.; freq. in Hom., mostly in phrases, ὅ σφιν ἐϋφρονέων ἀγορήσατο καὶ μετέειπεν Il.1.253, al.; τοῖσι δὲ καὶ μετέειπε 2.336, al., cf. Hes. Th.643: abs., mostly with ὀψέ, Il.7.94, Od.7.155, etc.—Hom. always uses 3sg. Ep. μετέειπε, exc. once 1sg. μετέειπον, Od.19.140.
