Aeol.[π]ήλοθεν prob. in Alc.Supp.12.10:—Adv., (τηλοῦ)
A from after, τ. ἦλθεν Il.5.651, cf. S.Aj.1318, Ph.454; εἰ καὶ μάλα τηλόθεν ἐσσί Od.6.312, cf. 7.194: in Hom. mostly folld. by ἐκ, τηλόθεν ἐξ ἀπίης γαίης Il.1.270, al.:—τηλόθε, Pi.N.3.81, AP9.246 (Marc. Arg.). 2 sts. in the sense of τηλόθι, σήμηνε δὲ τέρματ' Ἀχιλλεὺς τ. ἐν λείῳ πεδίῳ Il.23.359: so c. gen., Πελειάδων τηλόθεν far from them. Pi.N.2.12, cf. S.Aj.204 (anap.), E.HF1112.
