   A οἴξω E.Cyc.502 : aor. ᾦξα Il.24.457 ; but augm. forms usu. have ὠϊ- in Ep. (v. infr.) ; part. οἴξας Il. (v. infr.) : Ion. pf. Pass. ὤϊκται Herod.4.55 : the compd. ἀνοίγνυμι or ἀνοίγω (q. v.) is much commoner, cf. also διοίγνυμι :—open, οἴξασα κληῖδι θύρας Il.6.89 ; τῇσι θύρας ὤϊξε ib.298 ; οἴγειν κλῇθρα προσπόλοις λέγω E.HF332 ; ξενῶνας οἴξας Id.Alc.547, cf.
