   A noise as of many voices, murmur, Batr.135, Orph.Fr. 286 (pl.,= Cat.Cod.Astr.2.199), Demetr.Lac.Herc.1786.1 F., Anon. ap.Suid.—This word and its cognates are written with one λ in Papyri and best codd. (cf. Eust.1307.42), with λλ (as Batr.l.c.) in inferior codd., also in PLips.40 ii 10 (iv A.D.).
