In the tomb: P. and V. θάπτειν, γῇ κρύπτειν (Thuc. 2, 34), P. καταθάπτειν, V. κηδεύειν, Ar. and V. τυμβεύειν,

Carry out for burial: P. and V. ἐκφέρειν, V. κομίζειν.

Help to bury: συγκομίζειν, P. συνεκφέρειν, P. and V. συνθάπτειν.

Bury (generally): Ar. and P. κατορύσσειν. P. and V. κρύπτειν.

Buried, sunk in the earth: use adj., V. κατῶρυξ.

Covered with a tomb: use adj., V. τυμβήρης.

Buried with its owner (of arms, etc.): P. συντεθαμμένος.

One who buries, subs.: V. ταφεύς, ὁ.
