Give back: P. and V. ἀποδιδόναι. Bring back: P. and V. ἀναφέρειν, ἀνάγειν, P. ἐπανάγειν. Restore (from exile): P. and V. κατάγειν, V. κατοικίζειν. Be restored: P. and V. κατέρχεσθαι. Help to restore: Ar. and P. συγκατάγειν. Rebuild: P. and V. ἀνορθοῦν, ἀνιστάναι, P. ἀνοικοδομεῖν. Set up again: P. and V. ἀνορθοῦν, P. ἐπανορθοῦν. The Athenians will restore the great power of the city though now it has fallen: P. οἱ Ἀθηναῖοι τὴν μεγάλην δύναμιν τῆς πόλεως καίπερ πεπτωκυῖαν ἐπανορθώσουσι (Thuc. 7, 77). Restore (to health or prosperity): P. ἀναφέρειν, ἀναλαμβάνειν, P. and V. ἀνορθοῦν. Restore to life: see revive.
