Laocoön (/leɪˈɒkoʊˌɒn, -kəˌwɒn/; Ancient Greek: Λαοκόων, romanized: Laokóōn, IPA: [laokóɔːn], gen.: Λαοκόοντος), is a figure in Greek and Roman mythology and the Epic Cycle. Laocoon was a Trojan priest who was attacked, with his two sons, by giant serpents sent by the gods.
