A burial, ταφῆς τυχεῖν, κυρῆσαι, Hdt.1.24,112: in pl., mode of burial, Id.2.85,5.8: pl. also of the burials of those who had fallen in battle, δημοσίᾳ ταφὰς ἐποιήσαντο Th.2.34; νόμοι... οἷς ἐχρῶντο περὶ τὰς ταφάς ib.52, cf.
