εσσα, εν, poet. Adj.

   A cunningly wrought, δεσμοὶ τεχνήεντες . . Ἡφαίστοιο Od.8.297, cf. Ael. NA1.59 (Comp.); αὐδὴ τεχνήεσσα λίθου Supp.Epigr.1.424 (Halic., v B.C.). Adv. τεχνηέντως artfully, skilfully, Od.5.270.    II of persons, skilful, γυναῖκες ἱστῶν (v.l. -ὸν) τεχνῆσσαι (vulg. τεχνῆσαι, but there is no act. verb τεχνάω) 7.110, cf. Q S.8.296; as epith. of Hephaestus, dub. in Epic.Alex.Adesp.7.11.
