[φᾰ], α, ον, (or φαλᾱρός, ά, όν Hsch.), Dor. for the Ion. φάληρος (v. infr. 11),
A having a patch of white, ὁ κύων ὁ φάλαρος the dog with a white spot, Theoc.8.27; ὁ Φάλαρος, as a ram's name, Id.5.103. II ὄρη χιόνεσσι φάληρα hills patched with snow, Nic.Th. 461. (Cf. φαλός, φαλακρός.)
