You were reared in the gutter: P. μετὰ πολλῆς ἐνδείας ἐτράφης (Dem. 313). Spring from the gutter: use P. and V. οὐδὲν εἶναι, V. ἐξ οὐδένων εἶναι, οὐδεὶς εἶναι.
