Cower before: Met. P. and V. ὑποπτήσσειν (acc.), V. πτήσσειν (acc.).
Like a young bird cowering under my wings: V. νεοσσὸς ὡσεὶ πτέρυγας εἰσπίτνων ἐμάς (Eur., Tro. 746).
