A succession of signal fires: V. ἐκδοχὴ πομποῦ πυρός (Aesch., Ag. 299), or πυρὸς παραλλαγαί, αἱ (Aesch., Ag. 490).

In succession to one another: P. ἐκ διαδοχῆς ἀλλήλοις (Dem. 45).
