εἰ γάρ κεν καὶ σμικρὸν ἐπὶ σμικρῷ καταθεῖο καὶ θαμὰ τοῦτ᾽ ἔρδοις, τάχα κεν μέγα καὶ τὸ γένοιτο → for if you add only a little to a little and do this often, soon that little will become great (Hesiod W&D, 361-362)

   A containing a whole + a fraction with 1 for its numerator (1+1/x), superparticular, ἐ. [ἀριθμοί] Arist.Pr. 921b5; λόγοι Ph.2.183 (v.l. for ὑποεπιμερῶν), Plu.in Hes.59; of the rhythm of the pulse, Gal.8.516; also ἐπιμόριον, τό, Arist.Metaph. 1021a2.
