Ath.:—heart. ἐν ἐμοὶ αὐτῇ στήθεσι πάλλεται ἦ. ἀνὰ στόμα my heart beats up to my throat, Il.22.452; the seat of life, life, φίλον ἦ. ὀλέσσαι 5.250, etc.; λύτο γούνατα καὶ φίλον ἦ. 21.114, etc.; ἀνέψυχον φίλον ἦ. 13.84; τὰς δ' ἐσσυμένως λίπεν ἦ.
