(Prob. pf. imper. fr. se-sl-; Aeol. ἔλλ- points to εἵλ- as the true Ion. spelling; Dor. pf. part. dat. ἱλαότι (leg. εἱλ-) Hsch.: ῑ is genuine in ἵλεως, ἱλάσκομαι [fr. si-sl-].)
