A temple, side of the forehead (in this sense not in pl., for wh. κρόταφοι is used, but cf. Ruf.Onom.13, Poll.2.40), ξίφει ἤλασε κόρσην Il.5.584, cf. 13.576; τόν ῥ' Ὀδυσεὺς . . βάλε κόρσην· ἡ δ' ἑτέροιο διὰ κροτάφοιο πέρησεν αἰχμή 4.502, cf.
