   A ignorant, unskilful, Hdt.9.62, Th.7.67, etc.; νῆες ἀνεπιστήμονες ships with unskilful crews, opp. ἔμπειροι, Id.2.89: so μηδὲν ἀ. ἐᾶν leave no part untrained, Pl.Lg.795c; ἀ. τινός or περί τινος unskilled in a thing, Hp.VM1, Pl.Prt.350b, Tht.202c: c. inf., not knowing how to do a thing, X.Mem.2.3.7: foll. by relat., ἀ. ὅτι .. not knowing that... Th.5.111; ἀ. ὅπῃ τράπωνται Id.3.112. Adv. -μόνως Pl.Lg.636e, X. Cyn.3.11, etc.    II without knowledge, unintelligent, Pl.R.350b, etc.; ἡ δ' ἑτέρη [γνώμη] ἀνεπιστημονεστέρη μέν ἐστι τῆς ἑτέρης less intelligent, Hdt.2.21.
