To <b class="b3">τέθηπα</b> sec. <b class="b3">θήπω ἐπιθυμῶ</b>, <b class="b3">θαυμάζω</b>; also <b class="b3">θώψ</b>. A nasal did not voice a following stop in Greek; wrong Schwyzer 692 and 333. - The group is further isolated. (Wood Mod. langu. notes 21, 227 connected Goth. ipv. [[afdobn]] <b class="b2">φιμώθητι, become speechless</b>. As doubtful is the connection with the Germ. group for [[slay]], e. g. MEng.
