By Fick GGA 1894, 238 and von Wilamowitz Glaube 1, 265 n. 2 (with Ach. Tat. Intr. Arat. 33) explained as "the (wind) coming from the <b class="b3">Κάϊκος</b>, a river of the Aeolis" ; cf. the similar <b class="b3">Όλυμπίας</b>, <b class="b3">Ἐλλησποντίας</b> a. o.
