To this refers the H.-glosse <b class="b3">κεραΐς κορώνη</b>. - Prop. fem. of <b class="b3">κεραός</b> [[horned]] and so a bird of the Horn-birds(?) ([[Bucerotidae]]). But this etymology would give a short <b class="b3">-α-</b>, while DELG gives a long <b class="b3">α</b> (s.v. 2. <b class="b3">κεραίς</b>), but not s.v. <b class="b3">κεραός</b>.<br />Grammatical information: f.<br />Meaning: <b class="b2">black radish</b>, acc. to Thphr.
