With <b class="b2">o-</b>grade or Aeolic zero grade. Ruijgh, Lingua 25 (1970) 312f., rejects this, and assumes <b class="b2">*n̥s-r̥</b>, connected with Lat. [[ensis]] and Skt. <b class="b2">asi-</b> (both with <b class="b2">*n̥s-</b>), though the Skt. word means [[butchers knife]]. One points also to Pal. hasira- dagger', but <b class="b2">*h₂ns-</b> would give Gr. <b class="b3">*αν-</b>.
