Another presentformation perhaps in [[κείων]] (ξ 425, verse end), if with Schulze Q. 434 for [[κεῶν]] from <b class="b3">*κεάων</b> (after Persson Studien 134 a. o. however from <b class="b3">*κεϜι̯ω</b> to NHG [[hauen]] etc.; not preferable). After Palmer Interpretation 186-8 also Myc. <b class="b2">ke-ke-me-na</b> (<b class="b2">ko-to-na</b>) here as [[divided]] (?; cf. also on [[κεῖμαι]]); but see Ruijgh Études $ 327f. - With <b class="b3">κεα-</b>, if < <b class="b3">*κεσα-</b>, agrees Skt. fut. <b class="b2">śasi-ṣyati</b> [[he will cut]]; this form however is doubtful, as Skt. <b class="b2">śas-(a)ti</b> [[cut]] has normally monosyll. <b class="b2">śas-</b>. From Gr. <b class="b3">κεσ-</b> with certain and Skt. <b class="b2">śas-</b> with possible IE. [[e]] (<b class="b2">*ḱes-</b>) differs Lat. [[castrō]], <b class="b2">-āre</b> [[cut]] through the unexplained a (reduced vowel?). On other, quite hypothetical nominal formations (best Russ. etc. <b class="b2">kosá</b> f.
