aor. 1 ἐνῶρσα: Ep. aor. 2 Pass. ἐνῶρτο:—the only two tenses used by Hom.:—
A arouse, stir up in a person, τῇσιν γόον ἐνῶρσεν Il.6.499; [Ἀχαιοῖς] ἀνάλκιδα φύζαν ἐνόρσας 15.62; ἐν δὲ σθένος ὦρσεν ἑκάστῳ 2.451; φόβον τινί 11.544; [μάχαν] (sc. ἄμμιν) Alc.Supp.23.12; θάρσος δ' ἐνῶρσε . . στρατῷ E.Supp.713:—Pass., arise in or among, ἐνῶρτο γέλως θεοῖσιν Il.1.599.
