A caught or detected in anything, ἐ. ᾑρέθη S.Ant.406: c.part., ἐπίλαμπτος ἀφάσσουσα caught in the act of feeling, Hdt.3.69. 2. culpable, censurable, πάθος Ph.2.348; βίος Id.2.4, al., cf. Porph.Chr.23; of errors in metre, Heph.4.6. 3. disabled, ἀνδράποδον Hyp.Ath.15 (unless in signf. 11); of a hen-partridge, Arist.HA613b18.
