Pl.Plt.265d:—Pass., metaph., of ἀνθρώπων ἀγέλαι, ib.295e. 2 βουσὶ νομοὺς ν. eat down the pastures with oxen, Lat. depascere, h.Merc.492. 3 abs., to be a shepherd, tend flocks, Theoc.20.35. II later, = νωμάω, direct, manage, Nonn.D.7.110.
