A break to pieces, shiver, ἔγχεος, ὃ ξυνέαξε Il.13.166; νῆας... τάς οἱ ξυνέαξαν ἄελλαι Od.14.383; ἐλάφοιο τέκνα . . συνέαξε breaks their necks, Il.11.114.
