(Alexandrine and later Poets seem to have thought erroneously that τέτρηχα = to be rough (cf. τραχύς).) (ταράχψω from ταραχ-ή, τάραχ-ος and these from *θᾰρᾰχ-: cogn. with θράσσω from θρᾱχ-yω of which the Ion. pf. is τέτρηχα.)
