P. and V. διδάσκειν, ἐκδιδάσκειν, παιδεύειν, ἐκπαιδεύειν (Plat.), V. φρενοῦν. Instruct (a person to do a thing): see command. Instruct in: P. and V. διδάσκειν (τινά τι), ἐκδιδάσκειν (τινά τι), P. παιδεύειν (τινά τινι or τινὰ ἔν τινι). Dionysus instructed us herein: V. Διόνυσος ἡμᾶς ἐξεμούσωσεν τάδε (Eur., Bacch. 825). Have (a person) instructed: P. and V. διδάσκεσθαι (acc.), P. παιδεύεσθαι (acc.), V. ἐκδιδάσκεσθαι (acc.).
