A ill-smelling, ἐν δυσοδμοτάτῳ [τόπῳ] γινόμενον εὐωδέστατόν ἐστι Hdt. 3.112; ὀσμή Arist.Pr.908b29 (Comp.). II bad for scent, in hunting, οἱ ὄμβροι τὴν γῆν ποιοῦσι δύσοσμον X.Cyn.5.3. III Act., having a bad nose, Arist.Insomn.459b22. IV δύσοσμον, τό, = σκόρδιον, Ps.-Dsc.3.111.
