A make to smell, γλήχωνι αὑτὸν ἀποσφραίνει he gives himself a whiff of pennyroyal, AP11.165 (Lucill.), cf. Sor.2.85, Orib. 8.6.1:—Pass., ἥρμοσεν ἀποσφρανθέν when smelt at, Dsc.1.54.
