   A ivy, Hedera Helix, of three kinds, two climbing (μέλας and λευκός), and one creeping (also called ἕλιξ), Thphr.HP 3.18.6, cf. Dsc.2.179, h.Bacch.40; ἀτενής S.Ant.826 (lyr.); κισσοῦ στέφανος OGl49.7 (Egypt, iii B.C.); sacred to Dionysus, κισσῷ . . στεφανωθεὶς Διόνυσον θεραπεύει E.Ba.81 (lyr.); κύκλῳ δὲ περί σε κ. εὐπέταλος ἕλικι θάλλει Ar.Th.999: hence οἴνωψ (or οἰνωπός) S.OC674 (lyr.).    II = κιρσός (Achaean), Hsch.
