A remove from a place, PTeb.38.18 (ii B.C., Pass.), etc.; ἐ. ἑαυτούς take themselves off, Arist.Mir.842b12, Plb.1.74.7, LXX 2 Ma. 8.13; ἐκτετοπισμένα remote regions, Str.3.4.19; Ὅμηρος ἐκτοπίζει τὸν Ἰάσονος πλοῦν Sch.Pi.P.4.370, cf.
