A cut in, engrave upon, ἐν τοῖσι λίθοισι γράμματα Hdt.8.22; of a map, χάλκεον πίνακα, ἐν τῷ γῆς . . περίοδος ἐνετέτμητο Id.5.49: cut or scoop a hollow in a thing, in Pass., ἐντετμέαται Hp Art.72; ἐντετμημένου τοῦ σπληνίου Orib.46.25.4. II cut up a victim, sacrifice, ἥρωϊ to a hero, Th.5.11, cf.
