A behave like a Scythian, i.e., 1 drink immoderately, Hieronym.Rhod. ap. Ath.11.499f; cf. ἐπισκυθίζω. 2 from the Scythian practice of scalping slain enemies, shave the head, ἐσκυθισμένος ξυρῷ E.El.241; so [χαίτην] ἐσκύθιξε φασγάνῳ cut it off in mourning, Epigr.Gr.790.8 (Achaea): cf. ἀποσκυθίζω. 3 talk Scythian, Him.Or.30.1.
