(whouses the word in thissense only), 1.47,65, 2.143, 6.134. 2 tomb, Epigr. Gr.453.2 (Batanaea). IV μέγαρα, τά, pits sacred to Demeter and Persephone, into which young pigs were let down in the Thesmophoria, Paus.9.8.1, Porph.Antr.6, Sch.Luc.DMeretr.1:— also written μάγαρον, Men.1031.
